How this works

  1. Find. Each night the pipeline searches the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions franchise registry, where most national franchisors register. New or changed registrations go on the work list. More states are added as each one is proven fetchable.
  2. Download. The filing PDF is fetched and kept privately. It is never republished. A changed document is detected by its hash.
  3. Split. The document is split into its numbered Items by their headings.
  4. Extract, twice, blind. Items 5, 6, 7, 19 and 20 are read by two independent AI passes from two different vendors. Neither sees the other's answer. Each value must carry the page number it came from and a quote copied verbatim from that page.
  5. Verify. A value is published only when both passes agree and the quote is found on the cited page. The arithmetic is checked: Item 7 totals must equal the sum of their lines, Item 20 unit counts must reconcile year to year. Anything that fails is held back and queued for a person.
  6. Publish and log. The brand page is generated from the verified figures, and the night's run is written to the run log: found, downloaded, extracted, verified, held back, corrected, and every error.

What this is not: the pipeline does not estimate, interpolate or compute figures the filing does not state. "Not stated" means the filing did not say it. "Unresolved" means the passes disagreed and nobody has checked yet.

This is a summary of a public filing, not legal advice. Take the filing to a franchise attorney before signing.
